HISTORY

 Foundation

The School of Business Administration was founded in 1924. Several alumni have contributed to the development of the school over the years, but Mr. Stephen M. Ross made history by donating $ 100 million and in recognition of his contribution the school was renamed Stephen M. Ross  School of Michigan in 2004.

 USP

Ross inordinate focus on action and thought is realized through Multidisciplinary Action Project which covers the key aspects including Action Based Learning, Field-of Experience to Students and Students-to-Field Experience techniques. The specialty programs at Ross that students can choose to arrive at their electives is a major distinguishing factor.

Ann Arbor is ranked 6th in United States for "Best Places to Live".  It is set in the city of over 140 parks. While high Tech, Health Services and Biotechnology are primary industries, online media companies, pharmaceuticals automobiles manufacturers are the emerging sectors. Though not a economy driven town, the students can benefit from the art culture and simple town life.

 Infrastructure

The Kresge Business Administration Library is a store house of electronic journals, print volumes, working papers, Ross video archive, library databases, course materials, Ross Art Collection etc.

U-housing and other resources including CampusRoost (student startup helping UofM students find housing near campus), Arbor Web (apartment search within 1 mile from Ross), Off-Campus Housing Details, Rackham Graduate School Housing Information, UM Housing Office, Roommate Listing Service, Mlive Classifieds, Craigslist helps the candidates find a housing of their choice with ease.
